Tex Hex Pop Up Cinema

Come to the water’s edge downtown to see Tex Hex, a new kind of interpretive research platform. This artist-made, self-contained floating cinema was built by the group Simparch, in association with The Center for Land Use Interpretation. Making its debut on May 21, Tex Hex docks at 1011 Wood Street along Buffalo Bayou to screen a selected program curated by artist Deborah Stratman. First film to launch? Visionary Transport, a 70-minute program featuring artistic takes on car culture, made even more delightful with refreshments provided by Whole Foods and Saint Arnold Brewing Company, presented by the University of Houston Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts and Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
