Our founder and Creative Chieftess, Tina Zulu, has been nominated and accepted to the Board of Directors for Houston-based DiverseWorks, one of the foremost contemporary art centers in the United States.
Tina will bring her passion, appreciation for the arts, and marketing talents to the position and enhance DiverseWorks’ dedication to presenting provocative new works in the visual, performing and literary arts.
Celebrating over 25 years, DiverseWorks offers a forum for art that has no other public outlet in Houston. Playing a similar role nationally, DiverseWorks provides first-time commissioning opportunities for emerging artists and acts as a catalyst for young artists and arts organizations. Known for its groundbreaking artistic education programs and distinguished by its financial stability, DiverseWorks is supported by an active Board of Directors and Artist Board and an involved corps of members, audience supporters, students and volunteers.
“It’s an immense honor to join the DiverseWorks Board of Directors,” says Tina, Chief Creative Officer of Zulu Creative. “I have always admired their programming and commitment to showcasing contemporary art, which perpetuate Houston’s prominence as a leading art center. I look forward to engaging in their mission, contributing new ideas and energy and helping to further their remarkable success.”
