The Zulu Team worked with Asia Society Texas Center to redesign and promote their Young Professional Leo Bar mixers.
Leo Bar is a cultural evening of cuisine, cocktails and creativity curated to connect members of Houston’s young professional community.
The October 2013 mixer featured Filipina-American racing sensation Michele Bumgarner.
In collaboration with Filipino Young Professionals of Houston, Philippine American Chamber of Commerce Texas, and Zulu Creative, Asia Society Young Professionals launched a redesigned, quarterly Leo Bar series featuring racing sensation Michele Bumgarner and Emmy-nominated KHOU anchor Lily Jang.
Mazda Road to Indy driver Bumgarner is a rising star in the competitive, male-dominated field of motorsports, driving in the Pro Mazda Championship, a part of the IZOD IndyCar Shell / Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston on October 4 – 6, 2013. Burning up the path blazed by Danica Patrick, Bumgarner is a Filipina phenomenon, inspiring women around the world to enter the circuit.
Jang, one of Houston’s brightest news luminaries, hosted a live Q&A with Bumgarner, who shared highlights from her exhilarating career, signed autographs, and posed with fans for photos.
Renowned and adventurous chef Rishi Singh of event sponsor Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar debuted his “East Meets South” tasting series, which highlights his signature re-mix of flavors inspired by both the Eastern hemisphere and his Texas roots.
DJ Baohaus (Soular Grooves), a Vietnamese-American female deejay, performed an eclectic soundscape to set the mood for the night.
